1P6FFCN-USB-SERIAL is a 6.6ft (2m) USB to null modem serial adapter cable that supports a desktop or laptop computer and resolves DCE/DTE conflicts directly without the need for additional cross-wired serial cables or adapters. It adds an RS-232 serial DB/DE-9 (female) connector to a desktop or laptop via a USB Type-A port. Secure the adapter to a serial device, using pre-installed and removable slotted D-Sub thumbscrews or install the included DB-9 Nuts for compatibility with other serial peripheral devices or cables. Data transmission and reception LED indicators on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully enumerated on the desktop or laptop. All the LEDs aid with diagnostics and troubleshooting. The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers automatically install to Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and above, and Linux.
