PIC12F1840 is a flash microcontroller with XLP technology. The CPU features only 49 instruction to learn- all single cycle instructions except branches, operating speed of 32MHz oscillator/clock input DC, 125ns instruction cycle, interrupt capability with automatic context saving, 16-level deep hardware stack with optional overflow/underflow reset, direct, indirect and relative addressing modes (two full 16bits file select registers and FSRs can read program and data memory). 31KHz low power internal oscillator, four crystal modes up to 32MHz, three external clock modes up to 32MHz, 4X phase lock loop, fail safe clock monitor, two speed oscillator start-up. The special microcontroller features self reprogrammable under software control, programmable code protection and power saving mode.
