The 5898 is a Replacement Test Lead Kit with test probe and 4mm banana plug. The probe with Santoprene® rubber outer insulation for handling comfort added insulation protection and wire strain relief, polypropylene fire retardant inner insulation for probe rigidity, stainless steel tip features high conductivity for precision measurements, 18AWG stranding PVC insulated 0.144-inch outer diameter wire. The banana plug with nickel-plated beryllium copper spring for long insertion life, brass plug body, polypropylene insulation. Designed for Fluke, Amprobe, H-P, Tektronix and Wavetek DMM's with a safety style of sheathed banana plug. Probe body incorporates a two-step mould process. Probe test leads are designed with Overvoltage spike protection of up to 6kV. Probe body and banana plug are moulded directly to the wire for robust pull strength. Wire is a high strand count silicone wire for extreme flexibility and high temperature resistance.
