BCM53134MIFBG is a six-port ultra-low power gigabit Ethernet switch. Building on the industry-leading 28nm RoboSwitch™ architecture, the BCM53134 allows customers to significantly reduce power consumption of existing designs, while delivering higher performance to meet the growing bandwidth demands in the home and SOHO/SMB environments. It supports an advanced suit of features required by top tier service providers for home and SOHO/SMB gateways, especially in areas of VLAN bridging, QoS and Access-List classification. In the area of QoS, for example, the device supports six selectable classes of service per port, plus two additional time-sensitive classes. It supports Port based, IEEE 802.1P, TOS and DSCP-based CoS mapping. It has a rich feature set suitable for not only standard GbE connectivity for broadband home gateways, desktop, and laptop PCs, but also for next-generation gaming consoles, set-top boxes, networked DVD players, and home theatre receivers.

- 802.1q vlan bridging, port based Vlan filtering, 802.1ad (QinQ), up to 8 spanning trees
- 128 multicast groups, 8 queues per port (2 dedicated for time sensitive applications)
- IEEE 802.1p, MAC Port, TOS, and DiffServ class-of- service mapping
- SP, WRR, WDRR scheduling and combinations of the three
- Broadsync™ HD for IEEE 802.1AS support, two dedicated queues for time sensitive traffic
- 128 KB packet buffer (1 KB = 1024 bytes), 128 multicast group support
- Jumbo frame support up to 9720 bytes, 1.0V for core and 3.3V for I/O
