MAX9924UAUB+

MAX9924UAUB+ is a variable reluctance (VR or magnetic coil) sensor interface device that is ideal for position and speed sensing for automotive crankshafts, camshafts, transmission shafts, etc. This device integrates a precision amplifier and comparator with selectable adaptive peak threshold and zero-crossing circuit blocks that generate robust output pulses even in the presence of substantial system noise or extremely weak VR signals. Applications include camshaft VRS interfaces, crankshaft VRS interfaces, and vehicle speed VRS interfaces.

• Precision amplifier and comparator allows small-signal detection
• User-enabled internal adaptive peak threshold or flexible external threshold
• Zero-crossing detection provides accurate phase information
• Operating supply range from 4.5 to 5.5V
• Supply current is 2.6mA typ at VCC=5V, VGND=0V, gain setting=1V/V, mode A1, TA=TMIN to TMAX
• Differential amplifier common-mode rejection ratio is 87dB typ at VCC=5V, VGND=0V, TA=TMIN to TMAX
• Input resistance is 100Kohm typ at VCC=5V, VGND=0V, TA=TMIN to TMAX
• 10 µMAX package
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
