製品概要
ICL3221ECVZ-T is a RS-232 transmitter/receiver that meet ElA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 specifications, even at VCC = 3.0V. Additionally, this provides ±15kV ESD protection (IEC61000-4-2 Air Gap and Human Body Model) on transmitter outputs and receiver inputs. Targeted applications are notebook and laptop computers in which the low operational power consumption and even lower standby power consumption is critical. Efficient on-chip charge pumps, coupled with manual and automatic power-down functions (except for the ICL3232E), reduce the standby supply current to a 1µA trickle. Small footprint packaging and the use of small, low value capacitors ensure board space savings. Application includes any system requiring RS-232 communication ports, battery powered, hand-held, and portable equipment, laptop computers and notebooks, modems, printers, and other peripherals, digital cameras, cellular/mobile phones.
- ESD protection for RS-232 I/O pins to ±15kV (IEC61000)
- ICL3221E is a low-power, pin-compatible upgrade for the 5V MAX221E
- ICL3222E is a low-power, pin-compatible upgrade for the 5V MAX242E and SP312E
- ICL3232E is a low-power upgrade for the HIN232E, ICL232, and pin-compatible competitor devices
- RS-232 compatible with VCC = 2.7V, meets EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 specifications at 3V
- On-chip voltage converters require only four external 0.1µF capacitors at VCC = 3.3V
- Manual and automatic power-down features, receiver hysteresis for improved noise immunity
- 250kbps ensured minimum data rate, single +3V to +5.5V wide power supply range
- 1µA low supply current in power-down state
- 16lead TSSOP package, temperature range from 0 to +70°C
