15W wireless power development kit with high efficiency power transfer demonstrates the advantages of wireless power and to give developers the opportunity to test and integrate a wireless power solution to their application. A key new feature of this plug & play wireless power solution is support for bi-directional data communication between transmitter and receiver. The wireless power kit includes an intuitive Renesas Electronics I2C Lite GUI for data analysis and enables device authentication for data security. Typical applications include smartphones, tablets, portable devices used in a clean area where connectors pose a risk of polluting e.g. medical facilities and (industrial) clean rooms, devices with a large number of mating cycles to avoid connector damage, headsets and portable media players.
