With hardware video decoder

The Atmega SMART SAMA5D4 series, expands the SAMA5 microprocessors family and targets IoT, Industrial and Consumer applications. It is ARM Cortex-A5-based, and adds a 720p resolution hardware video decoder and advanced security features. The chip has significantly better system performance using the ARM NEON 128-bit SIMD architecture extension and a 128kByte L2 Cache.

  • LCD TFT Controller with 4 overlays Upto 2048x2048 or Upto 720p in video format.
  • I-/D-Cache: Upto 32KB, L2Cahe: Upto 128KB, RAM: Upto 128KB
  • Two high-speed memory card hosts (eMMC 4.3 and SD 2.0)
  • One 5-channel 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter with Resistive Touchscreen function
  • Two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet MAC Controllers with IEEE 1588 v2 support
  • Video Decoder supporting formats MPEG-4, H.264, H.263, VP8 and JPEG, and image postprocessing
  • 64-bit Advanced Interrupt Controller, 64-bit Secure Advanced Interrupt Controller
  • ITU-R BT. 601/656 Image Sensor Interface (ISI)
  • Four Two-wire Interfaces up to 400 Kbits/s supporting I2C protocol and SMBUS (TWI)
  • Applications: Home Automation, Thermostats, Surveillance Cameras, HMI, Fitness Equipments
