Product Overview
RDF50 series is a ultra-wide 12:1 input DC-DC converter. It is designed for railway applications and certified to EN50155 & EN50121-3-2 railway standards for electronic equipment used on traction & rolling stock. The module is fully protected against input UVLO (under voltage lock out), output short circuit, output over voltage and over temperature conditions. Typical applications on traction and rolling stock include door control, safety monitors, communication systems, video surveillance, access and ticketing machines, drive controls, power controls, information systems, lighting, passenger device-charging USB ports. Safety approvals are UL60950-1, UL62368-1 (pending).
- Single output, overload/overvoltage and short circuit protection
- Industry standard 1/4 brick
- Output trim is -20/+10%, 3000 VDC isolation
- Remote on/off and remote sense
- 3 year warranty
- Dimension is 36.8 x 57.9 x 12.7mm, input voltage is 14 to 160VDC
- Output voltage is 24V, 1200μF maximum capacitive load
- Output current is 2.1A, input current is 4.2A full load
- Ripple and noise is 240mV, 89% efficiency
- Operating base plate temperature is -40 to +100°C
