Product Overview

The HVC series from Welwyn are AEC-Q200 qualified high voltage surface mount resistors based on thick film technology. The resistance range includes E24 and E96 decade values from 10K to 1Gohm. The resistive thick film material, over glaze and organic protection are screen printed on a 96% alumina substrate. These chips are supplied with wraparound terminations suitable for soldering. The terminations have an electroplated nickel barrier and tin finish. This ensures excellent ‘leach’ resistance properties and solderability. The HVC resistors are ideally suited for handling by automatic methods due to their rectangular shape and the small dimensional tolerances.
  • EIA 1206, 1210, 2512 chip sizes available
  • Limiting element voltage of 1000V (1206), 2000V (2010) and 3000V (2512)
  • Power rating of 0.3W (1206), 0.5W (2010) and 1W (2512) at 70°C
  • ±0.5%, ±1%, ±2%, ±5% and 10% standard resistance tolerance
  • ±50ppm/°C and ±100ppm/°C temperature coefficient values available
  • Overload voltages up to 4KV
  • Robust thick film construction
  • Anti-sulphur version available
  • Zero at 155°C derating from rated power at 70°C
  • High voltage resistor
