Product Overview

The TMCM-1140-CANOPEN from Trinamic is a single axis stepper motor controller/driver module for sensorless load dependent current control. The device is powered by Trinamic stallGuard2™, coolStep™ and spreadCycle™ chopper technology and has a trapezoidal ramp generator. The TMCM-1140 is capable of driving up to 2.8A of current from each output (with proper heatsinking). The device provides a RS485, CAN, USB, S/D and encoder interface. It is highly integrated, offers a convenient handling and can be used in many decentralized applications.
  • Supply voltage of 24VDC nominal (9VDC to 28VDC)
  • Motor current up to 2A RMS/2.8A peak (programmable), motion profile calculation in real time
  • On the fly alteration of motor parameters (position, velocity, acceleration)
  • High performance microcontroller for overall system control, serial communication protocol handling
  • Up to 256 microsteps per full step
  • High efficient operation and low power dissipation
  • Dynamic current control, integrated protection, stallGuard2 feature for stall detection
  • Feature coolStep for reduced power consumption and heat dissipation
  • Module pre-programmed with CANopen firmware
  • Dimension is 37mm x 37mm x 12mm (L x W x H)
