Product Overview
STMPS2161MTR is a enhanced single channel power switch. It is active low switch intended for applications where heavy capacitive loads and short-circuits are encountered. This switch is incorporate in 90mohm N-channel MOSFET with high-side power for power distribution. It is controlled by a logic enable input when the output load exceeds the threshold current. This switch limits the output current to a safe level by switching into a constant current mode. When continuous heavy overloads and short-circuits increase the power dissipation in the switch, causing the junction temperature to rise, a thermal protection circuit shuts the switch off to prevent damage and makes thermal shutdown automatically. Internal circuitry ensures the switch remains off until a valid input voltage is present.
- Continuous current is 1000mA
- Thermal and short-circuit protection with over current logic output
- Operating voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
- CMOS and TTL compatible enable input
- Undervoltage lockout (UVLO)
- Maximum standby supply current is 12μA
- Operating temperature range is -40C° to 85°C
- Reverse current protection, fault blanking
- Case style is SO-8
