M24256E-FMH6TG is a 256Kbit I²C-compatible bus EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read only memory) organized as 32K × 8bits. It can operate with a supply voltage from 1.65V to 5.5V, with a clock frequency of 1MHz. It can also operate down to 1.6V, under some restricting conditions. The M24256E-F offers an additional page of 64bytes, named identification page, which can be used to store sensitive application parameters which can be (later) permanently locked in read-only mode. The M24256E-F offers also an additional 8bit register, named the configurable device address (CDA) register authorizing the user, through software, to configure upto eight possibilities of chip enable address.
- 1MHz (fast-mode plus), 400KHz (fast-mode), 100KHz (standard-mode)
- Byte write within 5ms, page write within 5ms
- Random and sequential read modes, write protection of the whole memory array
- Configurable device address, preprogramed device address (on demand)
- Enhanced ESD / latch-up protection
- More than 4 million write cycles, more than 200-year data retention
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
