Product Overview
ALTAIR05T-800 is an off-line all-primary sensing switching regulator. It operates directly from the rectified mains with minimum external parts. It combines a low voltage, high performance PWM controller chip and an 800V avalanche rugged power section in the same package. The current-mode controller chip is specifically designed for off-line quasi-resonant flyback converters. This device provides a constant output voltage (CV) and constant output current (CC) regulation using the primary sensing feedback. In this manner, the optocoupler, the secondary voltage reference, and the current sensor are no more necessary, even though an accurate regulation also during heavy load transients is maintained. It is used in applications such as AC-DC chargers for mobile phones and other hand-held equipment's, compact SMPS that requires a precise current and/or voltage regulation.
- Constant voltage and constant current output regulation (CV/CC) with no optocoupler
- Tight regulation also during heavy load transients, automatic self-supply
- Quasi-resonant (QR) operation, low standby power consumption
- Input-voltage feed forward for mains independent CC regulation
- Output cable drop compensation, operating voltage range from 11.5V to 23V
- Quiescent current is 1mA typical at (TJ = -40 to 125°C, Vcc = 14V)
- Input bias current is 1µA typical at (VZCD = 0.1 to 3V, TJ = -40 to 125°C, Vcc = 14V)
- Gain-bandwidth product is 500KHz typical at (TJ = -40 to 125°C, Vcc = 14V)
- Voltage gain is 73dB typical at (TJ = -40 to 125°C, Vcc = 14V)
- Junction temperature range from -40°C to 150°C, SO16N package
