The BGM121N256V2 from Silicon Labs is a blue Gecko BGM121 Bluetooth SiP module integrated with RF-pin. This module is targeted for applications where ultra small size, reliable high performance RF, low power consumption and easy application development are key requirements. At 6.5mm x 6.5mm x 1.4mm the BGM121 module fits applications where size is a constraint. It also integrates a high performance, ultra robust antenna which requires minimal PCB, plastic and metal clearance. The total PCB area required by module is only 51mm². It integrates a Bluetooth 4.2 compliant Bluetooth stack and it can also run end user applications on-board or alternatively used as a network co-processor over one of the host interfaces. It can be used in wide variety of applications wearables, IoT end devices and gateways, health, sports and wellness devices, industrial, home and building automation, beacons, Smart phone, tablet and PC accessories.
- Low power wireless system-on-chip, 2.4GHz radio operation, 256KB flash memory and 32KB RAM
- 32bit ARM Cortex -M4 core at 38.4MHz, TX power up to 8dBm
- RX sensitivity is -90dBm (high receiver performance) and range up to 200meter
- Low energy consumption
- 1.85V to 3.8V single power supply, 2.4V to 3.8V when using DC-DC, integrated DC-DC converter
- Autonomous hardware crypto accelerator and random number generator
- 30 GPIO pins, 8-Ch DMA controller, 12-ch peripheral reflex system, 2 x 16bit timer/counter
- Support for internet security, general purpose CRC and random number generator
- Wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- Dimension of 6.5mm x 6.5mm x 1.4mm
