The BGM11S12F256GA-V2 from Silicon Labs is a BGM11S Blue Gecko Bluetooth® low energy SiP module with built-in antenna. It is targeted for applications where ultra-small size, reliable high performance RF, low power consumption and easy application development are key requirements. At 6.5 x 6.5 x 1.4mm the BGM11S module fits applications where size is a constraint. BGM11S also integrates a high performance, ultra robust antenna which requires minimal PCB, plastic and metal clearance. The total PCB area required by BGM11S is only 51mm². It has Bluetooth®, CE, full FCC, Japan and South-Korea certifications. The BGM11S also integrates a Bluetooth® 4.2 low energy compliant Bluetooth® stack and it can also run end user applications on-board or alternatively used as a network co-processor over one of the host interfaces. This module can be used in a wide variety of applications including wearables, IoT end devices and gateways, beacons, smart phone, tablet and PC accessories.
- Range up to 200m, +3dBm TX power, -90dBm RX sensitivity, 12bit/1Msps ADC, 2 x analogue comparator
- Digital to analogue current converter, 2 x 16bit timer/counter, 12 channel (PRS)
- High performance 32bit 38.4MHz ARM Cortex®-M4 with DSP instruction and floating point unit
- 256KB flash program memory, 32KB RAM data memory, 2.4GHz radio operation, low energy consumption
- Autonomous hardware crypto accelerator and random number generator
- Integrated DC to DC converter, on-board Bluetooth stack, support for internet security
- 1.85V to 3.8V single power supply, 2.4V to 3.8V when using DC to DC, -40 to +85°C temperature
- I2C interface with SMBus support and address recognition in EM3 stop low energy UART (LEUART™)
- 2 x (UART/SPI/SmartCard (ISO 7816)/IrDA/I2S), watchdog timer with dedicated RC oscillator at 50nA
- 8 channel DMA controller, 30 general purpose I/O pins, high receiver performance
