Product Overview
The Metal-Mite 89 series from Ohmite are Metal-Mite® aluminium housed wirewound resistors with axial terminals. The 89 series resistors are high performance axial type resistors. These moulded construction metal housed resistors are available in higher power ratings than standard axial resistors and are better suited to withstanding vibration, shock and harsh environmental conditions. The 89 series Metal-Mite® resistors are aluminium housed to maintain high stability during operation and to permit secure mounting to chassis surfaces. The metal housing allows chassis mounting and provides heat sink capability. They have ±90ppm/°C (under 1ohm), ±50ppm/°C (1 to 9.99ohm), ±20ppm/°C (10 ohm and over) temperature coefficient values. Dielectric withstanding voltage is 1000VAC (5W and 10W rating) and 2250VAC (25W and 50W ratings).

- Tolerance is ±1% and ±5%
- High power to size ratio
- Voltage rating range from 210V to 1170V
- Metal, anodized aluminium housing, silicone internal coating
- Ceramic core and solder coated axial terminals
- Overload is 5 times rated wattage for 5 seconds
- High voltage, high power resistor
