Product Overview
MCP8021-3315H/9PXVAO is a 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor gate driver with power module, sleep mode, op amps. It contains three integrated half-bridge drivers, capable of driving three external NMOS/NMOS transistor pairs. The three half-bridge driver is capable of delivering a peak output current of 0.5A at 12V for driving high-side and low-side NMOS MOSFET transistors. The driver has shootthrough, overcurrent and short-circuit protection. A sleep mode has been added to achieve a typical “key off” quiescent current of 5µA. It integrates a 3.3V LDO regulator for host and peripheral power, an overtemperature sensor and user-configurable functions. This device adds three independent operational amplifiers for general use. Typical applications are automotive applications like fuel, water, oil pumps, ventilation motors, window lift, trunk openers, sunroof, home appliances, permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control, hobby aircraft, boats, vehicles.
- AEC-Q100 grade 0 qualified
- Three half-bridge drivers configured to drive external high-side NMOS and low-side NMOS MOSFETs
- Fixed output linear regulator: 3.3V or 5.0V at 70mA, true current foldback
- Sleep mode: 5µA typical, standby mode:
330µA - Dedicated WAKE pin for sleep mode recovery, dedicated active-low FAULT pin
- Single wire UART communications, supply voltage range from 4V to 40V
- Gate drive undervoltage lockout/supply voltage undervoltage shutdown is 4.5V
- Supply voltage undervoltage lockout (UVLO): 6.25V, overvoltage lockout (OVLO): 29V
- 28-lead VQFN package
- High temperature range from -40°C to +150°C
