Product Overview
MCP3914A1-E/MV is an eight-channel analogue front-end containing eight synchronous sampling DeltaSigma analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), eight PGAs, phase delay compensation block, low-drift internal voltage reference, digital offset and gain error calibration registers, and high-speed 20MHz SPI compatible serial interface. It fully configurable with features such as: 16/24-bit resolution, oversampling ratio (OSR) from 32 to 4096, gain from 1x to 32x, independent shutdown and reset, dithering and auto-zeroing. It includes advanced security features to secure the communications and the configuration settings, such as a CRC-16 checksum on both serial data outputs and static register map configuration. Application includes polyphase energy meters, energy metering and power measurement, automotive, portable instrumentation, medical and power monitoring, audio/voice recognition.

- Total harmonic distortion is -107dBc typ (Includes the first 35 harmonics)
- Signal-to-noise ratio is 95dB typ (AVDD = DVDD = 2.7 to 3.6V, TA = -40 to +125°C)
- Tolerance is 1.2V typ (VREFEXT = 0, TA = +25°C)
- Temperature coefficient is 9ppm/°C typ (TA = -40°C to +125°C, VREFEXT = 0)
- Output impedance is 0.6Kohm typ (VREFEXT = 0, TA = -40°C to +125°C)
- Operating voltage range from 2.7 to 3.6VAC/DC (TA = -40°C to +125°C)
- 16Bit cyclic redundancy check checksum on all communications for secure data transfers
- 16Bit CRC checksum and interrupt alert for register map configuration
- 40 pin UQFN package, extended operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
