Product Overview
KSZ8041RNL-TR is a single supply 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX physical layer transceiver that provides MII/RMII/SMII interfaces to transmit and receive data. It utilizes a unique mixed-signal design to extend signalling distance while reducing power consumption. HP Auto MDI/MDI-X provides the most robust solution for eliminating the need to differentiate between crossover and straight-through cables. LinkMD® TDR-based cable diagnostics permit the identification of faulty copper cabling. It represents a new level of features and performance and is an ideal choice of physical layer transceiver for 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX applications. It has all the identical rich features of the KSZ8041TL plus 100BASE-FX support for fiber and media converter applications. Applications include printer, LOM, game console, IPTV, IP phone, IP set-top box, media converter.

- Power consumption of <180mW, power down and power saving modes
- Built-in 1.8V regulator for core, single power supply (3.3V)
- Robust operation over standard cables, interrupt pin option
- Programmable LED outputs for link, activity and speed, ESD rating (6kV)
- MIIM (MDC/MDIO) management bus to 12.5MHz for rapid PHY register configuration
- RMII interface with 25MHz crystal/clock input and 50MHz reference clock output to MAC
- Temperature range from -40 to 85°C
- 48-lead LQFP package
