Product Overview
PVA1354NSPBF is a PVA13 series single-pole, normally-open, HEXFET® power MOSFET photovoltaic relay. It serves as a solid-state replacement for electromechanical relays in general-purpose switching of analogue signals. Utilizing International Rectifier's HEXFET power MOSFET as the output switch, it is driven by an integrated circuit photovoltaic generator of novel construction. The output switch is controlled by radiation from a GaAlAs light-emitting diode (LED), which is optically isolated from the photovoltaic generator. This relay overcomes the limitations of both conventional electromechanical and reed relays by offering the solid-state advantages of long life, fast operating speed, low pick-up power, bounce-free operation, low thermal offset voltages, and a miniature package. Applications include process control, data acquisition, test equipment, multiplexing, and scanning.
- Surface-mount (gull-wing), bounce free operation
- Solid state reliability, UL recognized
- ESD tolerance - 4000V human body model, 500V machine model
- Operating voltage range from 0 to ±100V(peak), maximum on-state resistance 25°C is 5ohm
- Minimum off-state dv/dt is 1000V/µs, maximum load current is 375mA(DC, 40°C, I LED 5mA)
- Typical output capacitance is 11pF (50VDC)
- 5mA input sensitivity, 4,000VRMS I/O isolation
- Insulation resistance - input-output at 90VDC is 10¹²ohm (25°C - 50% RH)
- Maximum capacitance - input-output is 1.0pF, control current range from 2.0 to 25mA(DC)
- 8-pin DIP package, operating ambient temperature range from -40 to +85°C
