CYPM1111-40LQXI is an EZ-PD™ PMG1-S0 family of high-voltage USB-C power delivery (PD) microcontroller (MCU) supporting dual role port USB-C PD applications. The USB PD block in the EZ-PD™ PMG1-S1 is used for USB-C source/Sink attach detection and negotiating a power delivery contract. This includes the BMC PHY, slew rate-controlled gate drivers for the source and sink side FETs, and overvoltage, under voltage, overcurrent, and short circuit protection circuits. It also integrates a high-speed USB Mux. The USB-PD subsystem contains one 8-bit 125ksps successive approximation register analog-to-digital converter. Potential applications include cordless personal care solutions like electric shavers and hair dryers powered through USB-C, smart speakers, smart home appliances, VR/AR goggles, and power tools.
- Supports one USB Type-C port, integrated USB Power Delivery 3.0 support
- Integrated USB PD BMC transceiver, integrated VCONN FETs, configurable resistors RP and RD
- Integrated digital blocks, hardware crypto block enables authentication
- Full-speed USB device controller supporting billboard device class
- Integrated oscillator eliminating the need for external clock
- 2x integrated dual-output gate drivers for external VBUS FET switch control
- ±8KV contact discharge, ±15KV air gap discharge based on IEC61000-4-2 level 4C
- System-level ESD protection, On CC, SBU, USBDP, USBDM, and VBUS pins
- 40-pin QFN package
- Industrial operating ambient temperature range from -40 to 85°C
