Product Overview
ACPL-C799T-500E is a 1bit, second-order sigma-delta modulator. It converts an analogue input signal into a high-speed data stream with galvanic isolation based on optical coupling technology. It operates from a 5V power supply with dynamic range of 77dB with an appropriate digital filter. The differential inputs of ±50mV (full scale ±80mV) are ideal for direct connection to shunt resistors or other low-level signal sources in applications such as motor phase current measurement. This isolated modulator converts a low bandwidth analogue input into a high-speed one-bit data stream by means of a sigma-delta over-sampling modulator. It is also used in applications such as automotive electric motor phase and rail current sensing, automotive inverter DC bus current sensing, automotive battery current sensing, automotive DC-DC converter current sensing, automotive AC-DC Charger current sensing, general purpose current and voltage sensing.

- 16bit resolution no missing codes (12 bits ENOB)
- 10MHz typ modulator clock output frequency, superior optical isolation and insulation
- Isolation transient immunity is 25kV/µs min at (VCM = 1kV, TA = 25°C, VDD1 = 5V, VDD2 = 5V)
- Signal-to-noise ratio is 77dB typ at (TA = 25°C, VDD1 = 5V, VDD2 = 5V)
- Wide supply range for digital interface from 3V to 5.5V
- ±50mV linear range with single 5V supply (±80mV full scale)
- Offset error is 0.1mV typ at (TA = 25°C, VDD1 = 5V)
- Integral nonlinearity is ±8LSB typ at (TA = 25°C, VDD1 = 5V, VDD2 = 5V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, SSO-8 package
