The HEDS-5540#A11 from Avago Technologies is a high performance, low cost, three channel optical incremental encoder. These encoders emphasize high reliability, high resolution and easy assembly. The encoder contains a lensed LED source, an integrated circuit with detectors, output circuitry and a codewheel which rotates between the emitter and detector IC. Typical applications include printers, plotters, tape drives, positioning tables and automatic handlers.
- Two channel quadrature output with optional index pulse
- No signal adjustment required
- External mounting ears available
- Resolutions up to 1024 counts per revolution
- Small size -40°C to 100°C operating temperature
- TTL compatible
- Single 5V supply
- Velocity of 30,000rpm
- Acceleration is 250,000rad/sec2
- Count frequency of 100KHz
