Product Overview
The ERM15A72 from Artesyn Embedded Technologies is an ERM75 series high performance 75W isolated DC to DC converter module. It is specially designed specifically for railway applications. Fully encapsulated in a metal case with an isolated baseplate, the converter has an industry-standard 2.28inch x 1.45inch (57.9mm x 36.8mm) quarter-brick footprint and a height of just 0.5inch (12.7mm). Reinforced insulation rated at 3000VAC RMS and high EMI immunity qualifies it for many demanding applications in railway and other transportation systems. Advanced circuit topology provides up to 92% efficiency and allows the converter to accommodate ambient operating temperatures as high as 85˚C with suitable derating. An optional heatsink is available. Further features include differential remote sense, remote On/Off and undervoltage shutdown as well as overload and short-circuit protection.
- Input voltage range from 43VDC to 101VDC
- Output voltage is 5VDC
- No minimum load requirement
- Maximum load is 15A
- Isolation resistance is 1000Mohm, isolation capacitance is 3000pF
- ±0.2% line regulation, ±0.3% load regulation, ±1% voltage tolerance, 100mV noise/ripple
- Switching frequency is 320KHz
- Safety meets EN60950-1 and railway standard EN50155 and EN50121-3-2
- Operating ambient temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- EN45545-2 flammability
