Product Overview
MAX22505GTG+ is a ±40V USB port protector. It designed to protect a USB port on commercial and industrial equipment against damage due to faulty or incorrectly wired power supplies. The USB port is protected against connection to typical 24VDC or 24VAC systems with a max data line protection of ±40.7V and power/ground line protection up to ±50V. VBUS, ground and connector shield connections can be configured for any level of ESD, burst, and surge protection by choosing external components. USB data D+ and D- are protected by external diode clamps to VBUS and GND, allowing for the lowest possible insertion loss while providing high ESD and burst protection. It is used in applications such as industrial PC, programmable logic controller (PLC), diagnostic USB port.
- Integrated ±50Vdc protection for VBUS/GND, integrated ±40.7Vdc protection for D+/D-
- Supply voltage range from 3V to 5.5V, transparent to USB operation speeds
- Optional external MOSFET driver for VBUS and GND paths
- Supply current is 3.8mA typical at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V)
- On resistance (GND channel) is 0.5 ohm typical at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V)
- Crosstalk is -40dB typical at (VCC = 5.0V, TA = +25°C)
- On capacitance is 10pF typical at (DN and DP channels, f = 240MHz)
- GND debounce time is 30ms typical at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
- 24-pin TQFN-EP package
