Product Overview
MAX22245BAWA+ is a reinforced, fast, low-power, two-channel digital isolator. It features reinforced isolation for a withstand voltage rating of 5kVRMS for 60 seconds. This device transfers digital signals between circuits with different power domains, using as little as 0.78mW per-channel at 1Mbps (1.8V supply). The low-power feature reduces system dissipation, increases reliability, and enables compact designs. This device features low propagation delay and low clock jitter, which reduces system latency. Independent 1.71V to 5.5V supplies on each side of the isolator also make the devices suitable for use as level translators. It is used in applications such as automotive, hybrid electric vehicle, chargers, battery management systems (BMS), inverters, industrial, isolated SPI, isolated RS-232, RS-485/RS-422, CAN, fieldbus communications.
- Reinforced galvanic isolation for digital signals, continuously withstands 848VRMS (VIOWM)
- Withstands ±12.8kV surge between GNDA and GNDB with 1.2/50μs waveform
- UL according to UL1577, cUL according to CSA bulletin 5A (safety approval)
- Supply voltage range from 1.71V to 5.5V
- Input capacitance is 2pF typical at (fSW = 1MHz, VDDA - VGNDA = 1.71V to 5.5V)
- Common-mode transient immunity is 25kV/µs typical at (VDDA - VGNDA = 1.71V to 5.5V)
- Glitch rejection is 17ns typical at (VDDA - VGNDA = 1.71V to 5.5V)
- Propagation delay is 6.2ns typical at (4.5V ≤ VDD- ≤ 5.5V)
- 2/0 channel configuration, 25Mbps data rate, high default output
- Operating temperature range from -40 to +125, 8-lead wide SOIC package
