Product Overview
LTM8024 is a dual 3.5A or single 7A step-down Silent Switcher µModule® regulator. The Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI while delivering high efficiency at frequencies upto 3MHz. Included in the package are the controllers, power switches, inductors, and support components. Operating over a wide input voltage range, this device supports output voltages from 0.8V to 8V, and a switching frequency range of 200KHz to 3MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only the bulk input and output filter capacitors are needed to finish the design. It is used in application such as automotive battery regulation, power for portable products, distributed supply regulation, industrial supplies etc.

- Wide input voltage range is 3V to 40V
- Multiphase parallel operation to increase current
- Quiescent current into VINn is 5μA maximum at (RUN1 = 0)
- Output RMS ripple is 10mV typical at (3.3VOUTn, IOUTn = 4A)
- Maximum output DC current is 6A typical
- Line regulation is 0.2% typical at (5.5V
VINn 36V, IOUTn = 1A) - Load regulation is 0.4% typical at (12VINn, 0.1A
IOUTn 4A) - Operating temperature is -40°C to 125°C
- Package style is 88-pin BGA
