Product Overview
LTC6404IUD-4#PBF is a very low noise, low distortion, fully differential input/output amplifier optimized for 3V, single supply operation. It is designed for closed-loop gains greater than or equal to 4V/V. In addition to the normal unfiltered outputs (OUT+ and OUT–), the LTC6404 has a built-in 88.5MHz differential single-pole lowpass filter and an additional pair of filtered outputs (OUTF+, OUTF–). An input referred voltage noise of 1.5nV/√Hz makes the device able to drive state-of-the-art 16/18bit ADCs while operating on the same supply voltage, saving system cost and power. LTC6404 is characterized and maintains its performance for supplies as low as 2.7V and operate on supplies up to 5.25V. It draws only 27.3mA and has a hardware shutdown feature which reduces current consumption to 250μA. Applications are differential input A/D converter driver, single-ended to differential conversion/amplification, common mode level translation, low voltage, low noise, and signal processing.

- 10MHz distortion is -101dBc typical at (VS = 3V, VOUTDIFF = 2VP-P, 3rd harmonic )
- Noise figure is 8dB typical at (RS = 50 ohm, f = 10MHz, TA = 25°C)
- Supply current is 30mA typical at (VS = 2.7V, VSHDN = VS – 0.6V, TA = 25°C)
- Large-signal voltage gain is 90dB typical at (VS = 3V, TA = 25°C. V+ = 3V, V– = 0V)
- Supply current in shutdown is 0.28mA typical at (VS = 2.7V, VSHDN = VS – 2.1V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, 6-lead plastic QFN package
