Product Overview
LT®3942 is a monolithic 4-switch synchronous buck boost converter with constant voltage and constant current regulation, suitable for both voltage regulator and LED driver applications. The part can regulate the output voltage, or input/output current with input voltages above, below, or equal to the output voltage. The proprietary peak-buck peak-boost current mode control scheme allows adjustable and synchronizable 300KHz to 2MHz fixed frequency operation, or internal 25% triangle spread spectrum operation for low EMI. For voltage regulator applications, the LT3942 provides input or output current monitor. Application includes voltage regulator with accurate current limit, general purpose LED driver, automotive and industrial lighting.

- Flicker-free spread spectrum for low EMI
- Operating voltage range from 3 to 36V (TA=25°C, PVIN=VIN=12V)
- Typical quiescent current is 0.9µA (VEN/UVLO=0.3V, TA=25°C)
- Shutdown threshold range from 0.3 to 0.9V (TA=25°C, PVIN=VIN=12V)
- Typical enable threshold is 1.220V (falling, TA=25°C, PVIN=VIN=12V)
- Switching frequency range from 1900 to 2100KHz (VSYNC/SPRD=0V, RT=14.3Kohm)
- 28-lead plastic QFN package, temperature range from -40˚C to 150˚C
