Product Overview

HMC797APM5ETR is a GaAs MMIC pHEMT distributed power amplifier that operates between DC and 22GHz. This amplifier provides 15dB of gain, +29dBm of output power at 1dB gain compression, +31dBm of saturated output power, and 25% PAE while requiring 400mA from a +10V supply. With up to +41dBm of output IP3, the HMC797APM5E is ideal for high linearity applications in military and space as well as test equipment where high-order modulations are used. This versatile PA exhibits a positive gain slope from 2 to 20GHz making it ideal for EW, ECM, Radar, and test equipment applications. Applications include test instrumentation, military & space, fibre optics.
  • 50 ohm matched input/output, DC - 12GHz frequency range
  • Gain is 14.5dB typical at (TA = +25°C), gain flatness is ±0.7dB typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Gain variation over temperature is 0.014dB/°C typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Input return loss is 15dB typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Output power for 1dB compression (P1dB) is 29dBm typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Saturated output power (Psat) is 31dBm typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Noise figure is 3dB typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Supply current (Idd) is 400mA typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Supply voltage (Vdd) is 10V typical at (TA = +25°C)
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 32-lead SMT package
