Product Overview
ADuM4154 is a SPIsolator™ digital isolator optimized for a serial peripheral interface (SPI) that includes support for up to four devices. Based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® chip scale transformer technology, the low propagation delay and jitter in the CLK, MO/SI, MI/SO, and SS SPI bus signals support SPI clock rates. Safety and regulatory approvals are UL recognition per UL 1577 5000 V rms for 1 minute SOIC long package, CSA component acceptance notice 5A, VDE certificate of conformity, DIN V VDE V 0884-10 (VDE V 0884-10):2006-12, VIORM = 849V peak. Typical application is industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensor isolation.
- 4 high speed, low propagation delay, SPI signal isolation channels
- Supports up to 4 secondary devices, supports up to 17MHz SPI clock speed
- Data rate fast (MO, SO) is 34Mbps max (within PWD limit, TA=25°C and VDD1=VDD2=5V)
- Pulse width distortion is 2ns max (tPLH − tPHL, TA=25°C and VDD1=VDD2=5V)
- Quiescent input is 4.2mA typical (TA=25°C and VDD1=VDD2=5V)
- Maximum data rate is 17MHz
- Maximum propagation delay 5V is 14ns
- 5000V rms isolation rating
- 20-lead SOIC-IC package
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +125°C
