Product Overview
ADuM4120 is a 2A isolated, single-channel driver that employ Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology to provide precision isolation. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, this isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics, such as the combination of pulse transformers and gate drivers. The ADuM4120 operates with input supplies ranging from 2.5V to 6.5V providing compatibility with lower voltage systems. In comparison to gate drivers employing high voltage level translation methodologies, it offers the benefit of true, galvanic isolation between the input and the output. The glitch filter helps reduce the chance of noise on the input pin triggering an output. Typical application includes switching power supplies, isolated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT)/MOSFET gate drives and industrial inverters.
- 2.3A peak output current (
2ohm RDSON-x ) and 4.5V to 35V VDD2 output - UVLO option for grade C-11.3V (typical) positive going threshold
- Precise timing characteristics features 79ns max isolator and driver propagation delay falling edge
- CMOS input logic levels
- High common-mode transient immunity of 150KV/μs
- Default low output
- Internal NMOS gate resistance of 0.6ohm at tested at 250mA, VDD2 = 15V
- Internal PMOS gate resistance of 0.8ohm at tested at 250mA, VDD2 = 15V
- 6 lead WSOIC package
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
