Product Overview
ADUM231D0BRIZ is a 5.0kV RMS triple channel digital isolator based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and monolithic air core transformer technology, this isolation component provides outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices and other integrated couplers. The maximum propagation delay is 13ns with a pulse width distortion of less than 3ns at 5V operation. Channel matching is tight at 3.0ns maximum. The ADuM231D data channel is independent and are available in a variety of configurations with a withstand voltage rating of 5.0kV rms. Application includes general-purpose multichannel isolation, serial peripheral interface (SPI)/data converter isolation, industrial field bus isolation.

- 5.0kV rms withstand voltage rating, low fail safe output state, input disable
- Common-mode transient immunity is 100kV/µs typ (5V, VI = DVD, VCM = 1000V)
- High robustness to radiated and conducted noise
- Propagation delay skew is 6.1ns max (5V, TA = 25°C)
- Data rate is 150Mbps min (within PWD limit, 5V, TA = 25°C)
- Pulse width distortion is 0.5ns typ (tPLH − tPHL, 5V, TA = 25°C)
- Low dynamic power consumption
- 1.8V to 5V level translation
- 16 lead SOIC-IC package, temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
