Product Overview
ADN4622BRNZ is a quad-channel, signal-isolated, low voltage differential signalling (LVDS) buffer that operates at upto 2.5Gbps with very low jitter. This device integrates Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology, enhanced for high-speed operation to provide drop-in galvanic isolation of LVDS signal chains. AC coupling and/or level shifting to the LVDS receivers and from the LVDS drivers allows isolation of other high-speed signals such as current-mode logic (CML). It includes a refresh mechanism to monitor the input and output states and ensure they remain the same in the absence of data transitions. For lower power consumption and high-speed operation with low jitter, the LVDS and isolator circuits rely on 1.8V supplies. It is used in applications such as isolated video and imaging data, analogue front-end isolation, data plane isolation, isolated high speed clock and data links, multi-gigabit SERDES, board-to-board optical replacement (for example, short reach fibre).

- Random jitter is 0.82ps rms typical at (1.25GHz clock input, VDD1 = VDD2 = 1.7V to 1.9V)
- Lower power 1.8V supplies, ±8KV IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection across isolation barrier
- Complies with TIA/EIA-644-A LVDS signal levels, 5.7KV rms and 1.5KV rms LVDS isolators
- Differential input voltage is 100mV minimum at (VDD1 = 1.7V to 1.9V)
- Offset voltage is 1.17V typical at (VDD1 = VDD2 = 1.7V to 1.9V)
- Rise and fall time is 180ps maximum at (VDD1 = VDD2 = 1.7V to 1.9V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
- Package style is 28-lead SOIC
