Product Overview

AD704JNZ is a picoampere input current quad bipolar op amp. It has the low input bias current of a BiFET amplifier and offers a significantly lower IB drift over temperature. It uses superbeta bipolar input transistors to achieve picoampere input bias current levels (similar to FET input amplifiers at room temperature), while its IB typically increases only by 5× at 125°C (unlike a BiFET amp, for which IB doubles every 10°C, resulting in a 1000× increase at 125°C). In addition, the AD704 achieves 150μV offset voltage and the low noise characteristics of a precision bipolar input op amp. The AD704 is internally compensated for unity gain stability. Typical applications are industrial/process controls, weigh scales, ECG/EKG instrumentation, low frequency active filters.
  • High dc precision, low power: 600µA maximum supply current per amplifier
  • Initial offset voltage is 50μV typ at TA = 25°C, VCM = 0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • Input bias current is 100pA typ at TA=25°C, VCM=0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • Common-mode rejection is 94dB min at TA=25°C, VCM=0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • Power supply rejection is 94dB min at TA=25°C, VCM=0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • Crossover frequency is 0.8MHz typ at TA=25°C, VCM=0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • Slew rate is 0.1V/μs typ at TMIN − TMAX, TA=25°C, VCM=0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • Quiescent current is 1.5mA typ at TA=25°C, VCM=0V, and VS =±15VDC
  • 14-lead PDIP package
  • Temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
