Product Overview
AB0815-T3 is an AB08X5 series real-time clock that provides a ground-breaking combination of ultra-low power coupled with a highly sophisticated feature set. With power requirements significantly lower than any other industry RTC (as low as 14 nA), this is the first semiconductor based on the innovative SPOT™ (Subthreshold Power Optimized Technology) CMOS platform. It includes on-chip oscillators to provide minimum power consumption, full RTC functions including battery backup and programmable counters and alarms for timer and watchdog functions, and either an I²C or SPI serial interface for communication with a host controller. Application includes smart cards, wireless sensors and tags, medical electronics, utility meters, data loggers appliances, handsets, consumer electronics, communications equipment.
- Ultra-low supply current (all at 3V) of 14nA with RC oscillator
- 32.768KHz crystal oscillator with integrated load capacitor/resistor
- Alarm capability on all counters, programmable output clock generation
- Countdown timer with repeat function, automatic leap year calculation
- Integrated power optimized RC oscillator, advanced crystal calibration to ± 2ppm
- Watchdog timer with hardware reset, 256bytes of general purpose RAM
- Power management features are automatic switchover to VBAT
- Operating voltage range from 1.5 to 3.6V, clock and RAM retention voltage range from 1.5 to 3.6V
- 16-pin QFN package
- Temperature range from -40 to +85°C
